London, England – Días 49-52

¡Hola amigos! On día 49 I flew into London, England with 2 friends. We got in late Thursday night, checked into the hotel, and hit the town. We went to a cocktail bar called “Be At One” and enjoyed the atmosphere and drinks. On día 50 we went to a bottomless brunch at Scarlet Greene which included a main meal, dessert, and as much champagne as you want for 90 minutes. We walked around some shops and through a market. We saw Buckingham Palace and did more wandering around the city. Later that night we went to Greens King Irish Pub and hit up a few more pubs along the way.

On día 51 we went to the Mason Lounge at Cadogan for high tea. It was gorgeous inside the room and not too packed so it felt like it was a room to ourselves. Within the high tea package we got small sandwiches, adorable desserts, warm scones, and unlimited tea and coffee. This was my favorite part of the entire weekend because we could sit and enjoy the food and atmosphere for as long as we wanted. It was themed after a book so all the desserts were hand crafted to fit the things in the book. For example one of the desserts was made to look like a hot air balloon. It was cool to hear about how each piece was specifically created to fit into the story. After high tea we went to Borough Market where we saw all the things they sold and went to one of the nearby pubs to join the crowds watching rugby. We left to see Big Ben briefly and walked around to take in the city.

On día 52 we slept for maybe an hour before we had to take an hour-long taxi ride to the airport. The lines were insane and we were so stressed about our flight. We ended up asking people if we could cut the security line because we thought we were going to miss our flight. You have to take out all your liquids and the guards are extremely strict in London airports, so even after skipping the line we were there waiting for 30 minutes because all of our bags had to be checked. I was the last bag to be checked and my 2 friends were already on their way to the gate so when I got my bag back I started sprinting through the airport. Of course our gate was the very last one and I was almost in tears running for my life towards this gate. I made it and was the last person to check in. We got on a bus to take us to the plane and got on. I was so tired and sweaty and worked up that I sat on the floor of that bus. I will never have that experience again geez.

!Odio los aeropuertos de Londres, pero me encanta Londres, ¡especialmente el té!
