Dublin, Ireland – Días 69-72

¡Hola amigos! On día 69 I flew to Asturias, Spain as a connecting flight to Dublin, Ireland. I landed a bit before my 2 friends so I waited for them before we got a taxi to our B&B.

We had a total of 5 people in our room with 3 bed, so it was a bit of a squeeze, but St. Patrick’s weekend raised the price of housing like crazy. We were starved so we went to Murray’s Public House for lunch and it was amazing! The potato soup was unreal.

We took a quick little nap then all went out to Temple Bar for some drinks. After a while we were kind of hungry so we took a pit stop at Boxty’s for some fries and espresso martini’s. We went to Oliver St. John Gogharty’s where they had live music.

On día 70 I woke up starving and everyone else was passed out, so I got ready and went to breakfast myself. I went to Lily’s Cafe and got a veggie breakfast.

When I headed back the boys had left to golf and the girls decided we would do a day trip. We left on the train for Bray Head. When we got there we realized it would be a legit hike to get to the top. I was lucky in comfortable jeans, but definitely was sweating when we hit the top. The view was amazing and I was ready to stay up there for hours, but we were kind of in a time crunch.

We had to watch the clock because we had a reservation at Guinness Storehouse. We headed back by taxi and went in for the tour. It was cool to see the history of Guinness and even better when we got to drink it. I don’t like beer, but I actually really enjoyed my Guinness there. I’m sure anywhere else it’s not as good, but I’m glad I had the experience in Ireland.

We went to a random dinner spot because it was late and we were starved. Afterwards we decided to go home and save up our energy for St. Patrick’s Day.

On día 71 it was St. Patrick’s Day! We all got ready in our green and headed to Murray’s for breakfast. We started off the day with eggs and jack & coke – oof. We hung out in the beer garden at Murray’s for a while and their other friends came to join.

We eventually made our way over to Flannery’s and realized I forgot my ID. I was older than everyone in the group but still had to head back 40 min to our place. The streets were so packed taxis couldn’t pick me up so I walked back, snagged my ID, and got an Uber back. We hung out there for a long time until we headed to Johnny Rockets for a quick meal of chicken tenders and fries.

We headed to Dicey’s and somehow got in for free. We stayed there for 6 hours and eventually went to another random bar we found. We talked to some locals and walked home to sleep.

On día 72 I took a bus to the airport and got on my plane back to Barcelona with a quick stop in London Luton. Right as I left I was ready to head back to Ireland to see more of it and visit my family there!

¡Estoy listo para volver a Irlanda y ver más paisajes hermosos y hablar con la gente de allí!
