¡Hola amigos! Día uno was very eventful and considering I skipped a whole night of sleep traveling I was pretty tired on day 2. If you read the Día 1 post, then you may remember that I stayed up until about 5am on day 1. I do not recommend this if you’re trying to fix your jet lag because it did not help me get used to the new time zone at all.
I was exhausted so I let myself sleep in until my body told me to get up – that was about 4pm. I saw about an hour of sunlight on day 2, which was not ideal but the sleep was needed.
Once we all got ready for the day (basically end of the day) we went out to find food. The issue is that when we left it was about 4:30pm and many stores and restaurants close from 2pm-5pm for a siesta. We stopped at Camarasa where I just got an espresso to wake up a bit. We had to walk quite a bit around the city until we landed on a restaurant that stated it was open 24 hours.
The restaurant has Italian food and was called Luigi’s. We were starved at this point and wanted to order as fast as possible. We got bruschetta for the table and my friend and I split a margarita pizza. It was muy delicioso, but after eating we had to wait a long time to receive the check because people don’t often eat and then leave. This is something that I’m getting used to because you sit at meals for so long that you don’t feel stuffed or uncomfortable at all and you get to enjoy the atmosphere and your company.
After a while our waiter asked if we wanted complimentary limoncello shots and of course we said yes. We left the restaurant around 8pm and walked back to our hotel. We changed and left for a different club called Shôko. It was fun to dance with friends, but I was so tired and we got home that night (or I guess morning) at 5am. I was not doing myself any favors by staying up so late but carpe diem!
¡Estoy muy cansada pero me encanta caminar por la ciudad para ver cosas nuevas!
