¡Hola amigos! On día 9 I met up with friends at Barrí Gótic (Gothic Quarters). Along the way we stopped to get an espresso and saw some street performers. We walked around and got to see the beautiful architecture. We saw the Church and all the original and restored parts of the building.
On our way home we stopped at a small restaurant called Copasetic where we got a glass of champagne for my friend’s birthday. Later on at night we went back to Le Cyrano to celebrate her 21st. It’s funny when you tell people it’s someone’s 21st birthday in Europe and they don’t think anything of it.
On día 10 we met up with our friends to go to a paella class. It started to rain so we decided to stop at a restaurant for shelter. We went to a small restaurant called Portalón and had a glass of white wine.
Our instructor Phillip met up with us and we walked to where the classes are held. It was a renovated apartment building that had a full kitchen and plenty of space to sit and enjoy the class
Phillip made seafood paella and showed us all the steps to make it perfectly. He also showed us how to make sangria, which we got to enjoy during the class. Tapas were also supplied for us to eat while the paella cooked. Phillip made the class fun and interactive and it was a wonderful way to celebrate Vanya’s birthday!
¡La paella y la sangría son deliciosas solas, pero perfectas juntas!
