¡Hola amigos! On día 43 I left to fly into Ibiza. Once I landed I waited to get on the bus to head into the heart of the city. I forgot to get more euros before the trip and I almost didn’t get on the bus, but the driver accepted the $5 I had.
It was about a 40 minute ride, then a 30 minute walk to meet up with my two friends. We ate pizza right on Talamanca Beach. The view was beautiful and we got really lucky with the weather. Most people were in jackets, but our Midwest was showing and we were all in tank tops.
We picked up a bottle of wine from a convenience store on our walk towards the Airbnb and watched the sunset over the harbor.
After the sunset we went to Tiki Tacos where they had 1 euro tacos. They were small, but so delicious. Later that night we went to Lola’s Club, which only played techno music. It was really interesting, but I still enjoyed going there. Our Airbnb was really close so we walked home and went to sleep.
On día 44 we walked to Can Kiwi and got smoothies and toast. I got an avocado and hummus toast with hard boiled eggs on top and it was so good!
We hit the beach afterwards and the weather was amazing yet again. We sat in the sun for a few hours and people watched. It was really nice to get away from the city and take in the fresh air and water.
We stopped at a cafe called Harinus and I got a spinach pastry. We took a nice break and also talked to a local about living in Ibiza.
We stopped in Stradivarius to look at some clothes and found that there was a huge sale. The clothes in the back ranged from 1 euro to 15 euros. I bought 4 tops, a dress, and jeans all for 26 euros total.
We ran back to our Airbnb to check out and grab our bags. I had the same issue with the bus fee heading towards the airport, but some lady paid my 2 euro fee to ride the bus and I gave her $5 in exchange.
On día 45 we planned to meet up and go to Montserrat. We met near Espanya and hopped on the metro to head over there. We had to get off the metro and hop on a new train or take the cable car. We decided to take the train because we wouldn’t have to wait in line and we were surprised by the amazing view we got.
Once we arrived we walked through the Church and it was amazing! It was huge and everything inside was so intricate. There were tons of tourists there because it’s such a popular day trip from Barcelona. We walked to the top of the mountain where there was a cross and an insane view. There were huge rock structures and mountains in the distance. We sat and enjoyed the view until we decided to take a train back.
¡Ibiza fue genial para visitar, ¡pero me encantaron las vistas de Montserrat aún más!
